Our Story

Growing up in The Bronx, NY,  our Founder And CEO Mr.Adjei endured extreme poverty growing up. Between 1970-1980s landlords in the South Bronx decided to torch their buildings for insurance money to avoid going bankrupt. The South Bronx was left burned and abandoned but out of those ashes come out people feeling a need to escape their harsh reality. Our CEO grew up in the aftermath of this environment, that birth creative outlets like Hip-hop , Graffiti, and Streetwear fashion. Seeing his family and people in his community struggling to provide adequate shelter for themselves, sparked a need to bring about a better quality of life for not only himself but for all the people that lives were affected by not having this basic human need. In order for our CEO to change his circumstances and the circumstances of other, he had to first change his perspective. Mr. Adjei decided to changed the things he witness everyday from people struggling in the Bronx to seeing success entrepreneurs conducting business in high rise buildings in Manhattan. This shift in perspective has changed his life drastically. Destruction Of Reality is a clothing brand on a mission to start a another renaissance of creativity. In the hope, that our brand can inspire creative individuals to look at their medians from different angles to push the needle forward.  In the same way that a change in perspective was able to change our CEO’s reality and the lives of so many others .
